My freelance services cover the Wyre Forest Area. This includes Stourport-On-Severn, Bewdley, Kidderminster and the surrounding villages of Rock, Wolverly, Cleobury Mortimer and Chaddesley Corbett. For further afield, such as Bridgnorth, Stourbridge, Droitwich, Worcester and Ludlow, a charge of 50p per mile each way will be incurred.

There is a minimum spend of £20.00 per visit (not including retail purchases). You can always double up with a friend for an appointment if you would both like a service which costs less than this.

A quiet and relaxed area is required for me to set up in for your treatment so that we are not disturbed, I will bring my own table but you will need to provide 2 dining chairs and I require a plug socket nearby.

Please ensure your mobile phone is turned off during appointments, for health & safety reasons, as well as keeping a relaxed atmosphere. Also my insurance does not cover your phone if it was to become damaged by any of the products used.

I completely understand that sometimes cancellations are unavoidable. However, it would be appreciated to have at least 24 hours notice so that your time slot can be offered to some-one else. Cancellations any later than this will incur a 50% charge.

Payment is accepted in cash or via cheque with a guarantee card. I am not equipped to accept card payments.

Gift tokens are redeemable until the expiry date on them, under no circumstances will they be accepted after this date. Also, no change will be given from gift vouchers if not used in full.

1. OIL TWICE DAILY

   Essential for the durability and longevity of the nails. Oil has a plasticizing effect on both artificial nails and natural nails, this allows the nails to retain flexibility which will prevent breakages and lifting. A really good oil will actually penetrate right through your Nail Enhancements to your Natural Nails and even through to your nail beds....as well as moisturising the surrounding skin and minimising excess cuticle, thus saving extra time and work when it comes to rebalancing.

2. WEAR GLOVES

   If your hands are regularly in and out of water your natural nails will actually become dehydrated and weak, and if you have nail enhancements, they will start lifting. Water, cleaning products, regular washing up, gardening, tanning lotions and hair dyes (to name but a few) can all have a detrimental effect on both natural nails and artificial nails so please make the effort to protect your hands and nails with gloves.

3. NO PICKING!

   If you take great care of your nails then 'lifting' in most circumstances should not be an issue, however if you do experience any lifting (or even if you don't!) do not pick, nibble, chew, prise or pull at any part of your nails as this will cause extensive damage to your natural nails. Never try to stick any lifted areas back down with adhesive as this can lead to infections, instead make an appointment with me as soon as possible. If you feel you would like to or need to have your nails removed then book an appointment with me to have them safely removed...if you try to remove them yourself you will cause damage to your natural nails. Please note that the products that I use are of the highest quality and your nails will never just 'pop off/fall off.' I am trained to recognise the reasons why a nail might break, chip, crack or come off etc, therefore all repairs must be paid for.

4. TREAT YOUR NAILS AS JEWELS....NOT TOOLS

   Do not use your nails as screwdrivers! They are not knives for slicing open tape on boxes! Or levers for prising open ring pulls, get into the habit of using the pads of your fingers rather than your nails when pressing switches or typing for example...and always be aware when opening/closing car doors and washing machines (a common reason for breakages). Everytime you use your nails as tools you are putting unnecessary stress on your nails...this can create micro-cracks.......these will grow over time into larger cracks and lead to breakages.

5. MAINTAIN

   If you look after your nail enhancements then there is no reason why you would need to have them taken off if you did not want to...your nails do not breathe or need air so you can safely wear nail enhancements for as long as you wish providing they are regularly maintained and looked after.

   You will need to see me every 2 weeks to keep your nails looking their best! If you would prefer to have them removed at some point then make an appointment with me so that I can remove them safely and ensure your natural nail plate is undamaged.

Every new client will need to give a short medical history to ensure that you receive the safest treatment available to you. It is important that you tell me of any medical conditions and medication taken no matter how minor you feel it may be. For example, excema cream can affect how nail enhancements adhere to the nail plate.

Infectious diseases of any kind will be referred to your GP and no treatment will be given until it has cleared up.

Also, previous or ongoing beauty treatments such as laser hair removal, chemical peels and such like may contraindicate some treatments and therefore a letter from the therapist giving these treatments may be required to give the green light.

High standards of hygiene are of the utmost importance to The Beauty Shed. I use Mundo Professional products to sanitise all tools and equipment used for your treatments. Risk from diseases such as MRSA, H1N1, E-Coli, Salmonella, HBV/HIV, Influenza B and TB can all be controlled with Mundo Professional products. I also have the antibacterial hand and foot spray available for you to purchase.
